The SCAFOR manual scaffolding hoist is a traction hoist using wire rope which passes through the machine without being coiled on a drum. T
-Constant effort on the operating handles whatever the height of lift
-Unlimited height of lift-Long operating life of the wire rope
The SCAFOR manual scaffolding hoist is lightweight and compact, easy to test and maintain and the effort to be applied on each handle is particularly low. The traction mechanism of the SCAFOR exerts a grip on the rope which is proportional to the load being lifted.
The SCAFOR model 408 is UL classified and conforms to the existing OSHA regulations. Since vertical lifelines are commonly used in North America (and are mandatory according to OSHA) instead of a safety wire rope the SCAFOR model 408 is designed for only one wire rope. 2 rope units are available on special order for use outside North America.
There is an integrated set of wire rope clamping jaws that prevents any downward movement while allowing upwards operation. It has to be held open manually during downwards operation.
The SCAFOR model 408 is designed for mounting on light suspended platforms with two hoists or for bosun’s chairs
Ideal for Masons, Painters and any low-rise applications.
